40...

Carolina basketball, live music (The Districts were AMAZING!!), a few shots of tequila... and dear friends (including my ever patient husband!) who love me for who I am... that's how I turned 40!!  It was a great night and I'm very much looking forward to this new decade...

The kiddos and I had some good luck at the thrift shop today!  I was delighted by a set of ADORABLE cups and my girl fell hard for a vintage floral hat.  Little, sweet things like these really make me happy...

Keeping an open mind...

A rainy morning motivated us to make some art!  I cut out some cardboard pieces for the kiddos (using this as inspiration) and the next thing I knew, the "deer craft" had been transformed by the imaginations of the kiddos into an "owl craft"!  I'm sure the deer would have turned out cute too, but the owls are delightful...

"Snow Day" cocktails...

One of our Daddy friends brought over some ginger beers, limes, vodka, and with the help of a few scoops of fresh snow, made one of the most delightful cocktails I've had in a LONG time!!  Snow cocktails... so brilliant!!
