Trade offs...

So I guess that keeping up with the house and laundry and work doesn't seem to leave much time for thrifting or making!  It is a bit of a trade off I guess (and I am so enjoying having a clean house and clean clothes for once!).  We'll see if the cooler weather translates into creative pursuits or not.  In the meantime, there is one little project I wanted to share.  My girl (and I) have become somewhat obsessed with the Little House books.  A friend recently found the whole set at the thrift store and gave them to us (I do appreciate a community of friends who are always thrifting with each other in mind!).  It really has been a fun journey through the series (we're reading The Long Winter right now)!  My daughter has been quite inspired by the stories and she decided to sew her very own rag doll inspired by Laura's doll (she even named her little doll Charlotte).  She did almost all of this project by herself (I only helped a bit with the hair)!
